My Mom loves with a sacrificial love above and beyond her natural motherly “duties.” I have never in my life seen her put herself before me. She has sacrificed years and years – many of them working multiple jobs – to provide not just the necessities for her children, but our wants as well. She wants the best for me and shows it tangible ways I’ll never be able to repay. Her love is like gold to me.
Mom is afraid of tornadoes, dogs, driving, disease, traveling… but not of people. She will stand up for anyone anywhere anytime… in this she is brave always! She’s generous with her time, money & hugs! I love my mom!
My mom God bless her.. she had all the right intentions and love in the world, but had lots of unhealed wounds. From that, I’ve learned that a good mom is a one that finds her wholeness. I love my mom, because through her, I became a better mom.
Importance of my mother? She taught me all! She is an amazing grandmother to my boys, always up for hugs and kisses, and spoiling them rotten! I think that is what I appreciate best about her. I am off to tweet!
I tweeted @ trammisms about the giveaway!

You’ve taught me how to push doubt and fear away. You taught me to follow my heart in each and every way. You were there to pick up the pieces should it lead me astray. You’ve shared with me in my times of triumph. My joys. Yet, held me in my times of disappointment. Cried with me during my times of loss. You were there with me witnessing new life. You taught me how to keep memories of those close to my heart. You taught me how to move on. You helped me believe in myself. You helped me become the strong, mother I am today. To you, mom, I thank you, for all the love, all the sacracfice, all the prayers…for being YOU!
As an adult, my mom is my best friend and confidant. When I was growing up - she was my mom and did not try to be my friend. So that shows you can raise a child, set rules and in the end they will be a good, (semi) well-adjusted adult.

Six months ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with severe colic. My mom basically moved in with me for 3 months to help me take care of her. I seriously could not have gotten through it without her. She now stays with us once in a while so I can get some sleep because my baby still does not sleep through the night. I feel blessed that my mom has been there to help me.
My mom passed away when I was really young and so my grandmother ended up raising me and my brother. She taught me that you don’t have to have a lot of material things to be happy. She taught me the importance of connecting with others and forming friendships that can last a life time. She taught me the importance of believing in ones self and that it’s alright to just be yourself. But most of all she taught me what love was
My mom…Outgoing, affable, gregarious and fun! Never afraid to speak her mind and yet always able to make her company agree. She can answer any question, whether she knows the answer or not. She has an uncanny ability to be everyone’s “best friend” and is able to give others the feeling that they are truly heard. She is a rare gift that I treasure!

My mom taught me what it looks like to be strong, selfless, compassionate and patient. She taught me how to be a mom and a friend.
My Mom has sacrificed so much for all of us growing up. She gave up her career to stay home with my brothers and I to ensure we were taken care of. I owe my Mom a lot!
My mother is the most patient woman on the planet (I’m not exaggerating!). She taught me the importance of finding the good in everyone and gives amazing advice. She continues that tradition with her grandchildren as well.

My mom is awesome. I don’t know how she raised 4 children with practically no income and a disabled husband, but she did. She is now one of my best friends and the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever known. Mom can do anything!

My mom taught me that you can be strong, independent and still be an amazing mom. You can work outside of the home and still be an amazing mom. My mom taught me that education was important and that I could do anything I set my mind to. My mom is now teaching me how to be a better mom to my own kids. And she has turned from an amazing mom to an even better grandma!
My mom is a SUPER MOM, because she raised 7 kids, of which I am the oldest. In order to suppoert us, my dad worked offshore and on different jobs all over the country. this left her all by herself most of the time. She is amazing because she loves us all so much. It is only through God that someone can have that much love. Now we are all adults, and many of us have spouses and children, and she loves our families, too. She helps us as much as possible without getting in the way. She has given us our wings, and we are soaring… and it’s all because of the strong woman of God that she is! I hink God for my mother… She’s the Bomb!
As I grow older an so does my Mom,she will be 79 this week,I see more of her in myself everyday,I can see that time with her is slipping away, she taught me so much, how to be a involved parent, love throught out every challenge, now as a Mom to 6(3 grown step)(2 grown bio)(1adopted)we just adopted her last year at age 16,we love them all so much an the grandbabies(5)too,So this mothers day with her will be special,we dont know how many more we will have so we will honor her the way she deserves to be honored, thanks

My mom and I have struggled with our relationship, but after my daughter was born, we started reconnecting, and it was then that I began to focus on all the positives in our relationship.
My mother is a pretty amazing woman. She was a working mom, and she was a great role model for me as a career woman. Although she worked outside the home, she still managed to give her three girls the perfect amount of love and nurturing. As I have matured and become a mother myself, I see that she, in fact, did make mistakes, as will I. But I have something many of my friends notices, and it’s a self-confidence that does not stem from appearance or any outward source. I believe in myself because my mom believed in me. And I hope to instill that same confidence in my young boys. I love your site, and will be rockin my Bomb mom tshirt as soon as it comes in!

My mom taught me to never stop trying for my own children and to be strong. I have had to call on these traits since my oldest son was diagnosed with Autism. It has helped us to begin to recover him. Autism is Treatable!
My Mama, a widower during her last years, had many health problems. Yet, she found joy in the simple things of life such as eating out. When she became blind, she expressed her joy and thankfulness for talking books. By her example I learned to be a joyful person and to find joy in the simple things of life.
My mom taught me to be a lady. She is a wonderful lady and she passed that down to me. We still talk everyday and giggle lie school girls.
My mom taught me to cherish the little things in life, the ones that give you the most joy. Never short on hugs and kisses, she’s not only my mother but a real friend.
Luckly, I have two moms. One that gave me life & the other that gave me a home. I am so greatful to both of them.
My mom has taught me so much about being a good person. She always taught me and my sister to give, even if we didn’t have much ourselves. So we always give to charity around the holidays. We are true friends because she taught us t always be a good listener. My mom just turned 50 AND beat cnacer in the same year! She’s my own little superhero, and I’m proud to have her as a parent, makes me feel like I can be a superhero parent myself. Thanks so much!

There are no strangers to my mom….she is strong willed and has taught me to be independent in my thinking. She loves the Lord and has taught me to do the same!
My mom sacrificed a lot. Always saying “yes” to everyone. She watches my brother’s 2 kids and sometimes help my sister at her shop. She doesn’t have time for herself! She always worried that I don’t eat enough. So every time I visit or when she comes up, she always bring extra food for me to have! My mom is a generous person!

My mom taught me about perseverance. When I was 12 years old she was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. I know she felt tempted to give into the pain but she would push through. 10 years later, the cancer had returned. I watched as an adult as the fought with all she had to get through the hard days. I saw her turn to God and lean on Him. I know my relationship with Christ was formed in those hard times.

My mother lives by example. She’s a woman of her word, she’s stubborn (in good way), and she loves unconditionally, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grands.

My mom is everything that I want to be as a mom. She has taught me more than I will ever understand, and she has loved me in a way that I’m just beginning to understand as a mom myself. Her gift of compassion inspires and encourages everyone around her. She has been my advocate, my friend, and my role model. Her passions for God and for her family are what admire about her the most. She is my best friend, and I’m so grateful to have her as my mom.

My mom is like a Jeep…
She puts it in 4 wheel drive and goes off road for good times…
She puts it in park to pray for me…
She reverses it to make things right…
She puts it in neutral and just listens to me…
She takes the top off and opens up her honest, genuine heart…
and most of all,
She puts it in drive and remains dependable, reliable, and unconditional, always…
My mom raisd 4 girls and is still alive and in good menta health! She gave up her career as a teacher to stay home with us and teach us all the wonderful things that we now know we took for granted. She taught us how to be honest, appreciate our conscience, love God and others, be generous & kind, wear dresses to church, clean, cook, sew and appreciate music. There were times that I think she wished ONE of us had been boy; however, she was a fabulous example of what a good wife and mommy looks like.
Describing my mom in three words? Smart, Musical & Generous. That’s my mom!
Great post, I hope one day to find my blog included in your list of top blogs you recommend.
